“Inflation” is a project created for a magazine by visual artists from Vienna. I contributed a short animation and an object dedicated to the topic of inflation. My approach was humorous, playing with gold materials and bold, iconic imagery. The animation carries a morbid sense of humor, resembling a game, and reflects on the absurdity of money and its distribution.
The piece references the idea of being trapped in an endless game of Monopoly, where the rich remain rich, while the poor have little opportunity to escape the system. Through this playful, yet critical lens, I aim to highlight the inequities of wealth distribution and the often absurd nature of economic systems.
